Checked the stats for poor performances in Tests that we lost in the last 5 years

Didn't need to look at stats, we've known Hahahahane for a long time & Pujara+Kohli in the last ~3 years.

Post COVID it is even worse. 5 years is a huge window.  This guy didn't show up in many matches.

Rahane is by far the biggest culprit of our test losses. That guy got to bat consistently at no 5, which is probably the best position to bat in this era yet has a career average of just 38.

 

In the last 5 years he would have been averaging around 30!, for his ave to fall so low. That's atrocious.

Rahane is an ATG.   ignore the stats. Better than Poojari.

That stat is misleading. We lose when batsman fail or does our batting fails collectively fails. The averages will be low when we lose and it will be high in matches won.

Just wanted to see which bozos didn't show up whenever we lose.  I understand your point.  But by now we know who are our match winners in Tests. It is mostly bowlers in the last few years. Even with bat.
