Difference in the Indian playing XI in Undakat's 1st and 2nd test match

In 1st test match, Unadkat is bowling to the left since congress was in power. In 2nd test match, Unadkat is bowling to the right since bjp is in power. Smart guy. No wonder he got selected.

Tbf he isn't a bad bowler in Asian conditions. Not vouching for him as he isn't the kind of bowler I like. I like pacy bowlers with bounce and ability to bowl yorkers etc. 

But jaydev has a bit of steep bounce which can be used as a surprise weapon. He lacks a good stock ball and does not have pace.

 

He can somewhat become India's Wagner If he develops a nagging length. Too late now though.

Our batting line in 2010 would absolutely cream todays batting lineup. At that particular time, I think Ishant and Sreesanth would trouble our 2022 lineup.

 

Bhajji superior to Ash at these points in time, but Ash and Axar combined superior to Bhajji, but not by much.

From what little I saw, I dont disagree with this post. However his time has come and gone, poor decision to play him ahead of much better choices for the team and for the future

on current form, 2022 lineup is worse than 2010 batting

I am a strong believer in having Multi-condition and Multi-skillset bowlers.

 

It can happen only if a pacer has Pace, Bounce, Accuracy, Movement, Yorkers, Bouncers, Slower Balls and a Thinking mind resulting in wicket taking ability. Bumrah ticks all these boxes and Shami of 2016 to 2020 ticked most of them, which is why we were such a potent pace attack at that time.

 

Unadkat has accuracy, bounce and slower balls. He is looking ok against a weak BD attack on a helpful pitch with variable bounce but may not do so against stronger teams.

 

But I like his height and bounce.  I think Unadkat can be used in place of Shardul in SENAW Tests batting at 8 as he can bat a bit too.

Exactly my thoughts. Some bowlers are just not built to lead. Some just operate better as first change and so on. Siraj is a good leader imo. Bumrah is too. 

 

Unda is fine at 8 for sena.

Problem would arise if Unadkat blocks the introduction of Prasidh, Sen or Umran as specialist pacers.

 

And it can happen with this TM at the helm.

Yes. Got to figure it out. Would prefer one of latter 3 but need someone who can bat at 8. Can't be a mug.

See now this I disagree with I have a problem when we do this. I only want either one of unda or thakur. Both can't be in the team. 

I would also like to see umran in there for sena. I am certain he would love sena conditions.

This TM picked 3 Floaty pacers, Bhuvi, Arshdeep and Harshal for Australia. Chahar as backup.  No tall, hit the deck pacers.

 

What does it tell you about them ?

That they suck. Something is not right. Sounds like favouritism etc.

they will play harshal at 10, and deepak chahahahar at 11. batting till 11 as per TM
