This is more or less a new team. Not many (Gill, Jaiswal, Tilak, Axar, ...) have experience of ICC knockout games. 

 

These guys are working towards 2024 WC and they are aiming to shape up as a bunch that does not get disheartened by having to do difficult tasks.

Actually as long as we get rid of all panautis who are playing since last 8-10 years this series loss would have been ignored. But still we had perennial failure like Pandya, Chahal are sticking in ,if we can remove them as an outcome of this series i would happily take this result.

Captaining Gujarat Titans in chill mode and captaining Indian National Cricket team when the heat is on is a completely different ball game. 

 

Pandya is just not meant for the latter. His international career has been an utter failure with consistent struggle for form and fitness.

 

On top of all this if we reward his shoddy career with captaincy, I would believe that we have failed as a Cricketing Nation.

He's got IPL trophy with excellent coaching staff and lot of team players in GT. But he's a First class passenger in GT team
