In modern world, Western Interest lies in keeping the Muslim World and Muslim population very much attached to centuries old Islamic ideology so that they can allways reasonably justify their military/Police/economic snctions/torture/arrest without tria/etcl type actions to their population as action taken against Islamic extremism or curbing Islamic extremism.

 

But nothing is stopping them hard working or good religious or educated or moderate Muslims (over 75%) to educate themselves and their fellow Muslims that Islamic extremism must be eradicated to a level when its not threat anymore.

 

Cause of Islamic extremism is not west nor action of countries like China or India. It is as Simple as that. Future can only start when this realistion comes. I see many Muslim nations in world including Middle east has realised it and in past 10 years they have taken strategic shift in their direction. But Society hasnt. It will take atleast 2-3 decades of consitent effort of these Muslim heads of state to eradicate extramism among their society.

It goes both ways, Muslims tried to invade Europe as well.

I don’t know if west was thing for thousand years considering America formed only few hundred years ago. Crusades were to save the Christian lands from Muslim invaders. They were sponsored by Vatican and were lost cause if you read about Constantinople. They lost lot of crusades to turkey they had lot of infighting only one crusade was successful.

Most of the Islamic countries have dictators. West always advocated for democracy. It’s business for west doesn’t matter who is there. They did have influence on Iranian politics but that was about it. Don’t remember if they did anything else. I do agree with the last part of your post but they are finding it tough.
