I’m still not convinced by Ishan Kishan in ODIs, but in Iyer, KL/Samson, Hardik and Sundar/Axar/Jadeja I feel like we have our best middle order since Raina-Yuvi-MSD

Yup inconsistency is allowed only for aggressive players like Sehwag not tuktukers. Kishan is not able to be consistent even when he starts slowly.

Why thinking too far ? I am talking about finding right players for next T20WC and that is what even selectors have started to do in the last 2-3 series. 

We have 1.5 years for next T20WC.  Fitness wise only VK can be a contender if he maintains good form. God forbid if we still go for  37-39 year old guys for next T20WC like Rohit, Shami, Umesh,  Bhuvi, . Feel even Jaddu will be upstaged by some newer guy with better T20 batting  mindset by that time . 

Which are the players of last T20 SF team who will make it for next T20 WC eleven ?

I would keenly watch Tilak Varma this IPL for that spot too if he can give couple of overs . Has some issues against short stuff but i am 100% sure he will sort it out with batting legends like Sachin & Mahela to help him at MI.

Ya but he is more like a top order batter.....whereas Riyan play at no. 6/7 in ipl and even in Ranji at 5. Also he has done some successful chase fo RR from precarious situation.

Systemic issues still remain Either Gill dominated the show in batting or the bowlers crushed the opposition in the matches we won. Batting remains top heavy,

The middle order is probably better than where it was in 2019. It's just about having the right combinations and selections. 

 

I hope we don't select 3 spinners like we did last time. We need the extra pace bowler.

lots of holes still such as top order remains shaky (rohit is past his best; KL is mentally weak) and we don't have batting depth at 8 (or 9)
