"If you are a top order who doesn't bowl you have to make sure your fielding counts"  - Ricky Ponting . Our top order has no such scrutiny. Kohli dropped 3 or 4 catches in 30 minutes in Bangladesh. Then looked clueless agianst BD spinners. Next match they were back to hyping him.

Common stop being ridiculous, Kohli inspite of all this struggles still has better avg  than many batsmen in England and Australia near 50 .He has been bum from 2020.

Yes he is done as a  batsman , yes but stop acting as if he score all those runs being a bum.

3 years is a big window in one's career.   He was 55 at one point. Now 48.  That is 7 point drop we are talking about. That is a very steep decline.

Green has bowled just 3 overs. 3 seamers + 1 spinner.   India went in with 4 seamers at the oval. lol. 2 of them were has beens. One has  a poor record in England.

Aussies also have 4 seamers and 1 spinners, same was at the oval while this is completely different pitch.

Green being a seamer is more of a back up option rather than main option. He hardly is being used as a bowler. We went with 4 main fast bowlers. One is half a batter. Rest are tailenders.

Shardul is not a main fast bowler. he will never play if we play just three seamers. he will only play as seam alrounder when we play four seamers.

Yes  it has been 3 years, Ponting's peak avg was 58 , he retired at 51.Sachin peak avg again was 59 and he retired at 52.

Gavaskar's was 59 and he ended up 51

It happens to every batsmen, Kohli's problem has been his fall has been dramatic which should not have happened if his age is correct.

Selecting 4 seamers was not the problem, Yadav being the third  seamer was the problem. He looked under cooked.

Not true. India has played 4  seamers without Thakur. Thakur's batting is a bonus. Not a traditional all rounder. If Thakur wer not available they would have gone with some other fast bowler even at the cost of lack of batting

Ricky's highest average was close to 60, (59.99 to be exact) at the time of Ashes 2006 Adelaide test. Post that series and after the CWC 2007 he started declining considerably.

I see what you did here but Kohli's fall is astounding and not even comparable to the greats like Gavaskar and Tendulkar who played for more than 15 years. Kohli is a fraud who doesn't even have a peak of 6-7 years.
