Just that Stokes scores faster. Lets talk when he does it in India and great 'allrounder' needs to bowl too. He's just a good attacking bat as of now Playing attacking shots from start is something many people can do, Stokes can do hitting combined with defense. He does not need to do in India to prove his greatness.

Jadeja's knock from 90-5 with ball swinging was much better, just not visually pleasing or attacking.
khadekhademaaro Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Stokes innings apart, Aus taking a lead is very poor from England
sage Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 All on Wood. Hope he comes steaming in for some entertainment

Jadeja is not even in the same ball park as batsman as Stokes. eulbninem 1

vvvslaxman Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 It will be down to how well Australia bats. England is one bowler down. Stokes won't bowl. Possibly won't field as well. So broad/wood/woakes/Moeen have to share the workload. Leeds is easier to bat on when there is bright sunshine. Smith and Labu have to put their hands up

If he had a great wrist position, he would have ended up as a ATG fast bowler as he had everything else.He could bowl express over 150 effortlessly when he was younger. Lord 1

Only reason he is in because of Hazlewood's fitness. They prefer boland these days. But boland appears to be too predictable. Originally projected as Philander part 2. I doubt he will get that far.
