Aussies pacers are not the problem. They don't have any decent backups which is the bigger problem.Their batting unanable to cash in flat wickets is a also a problem. Australia certainly does not have an express fast bowler which was needed in these conditions and to put fear of god in England batsmen. Scoring 600 in 107 overs whas not been done by any team other than England. If it was any other bowling attack they would have leaked more runs than Aussies.

No one is devaluing Indian home dominance.England doing at home is different from India doing at home. Everyone does . How is it different lol 28 minutes ago, putrevus said: Most teams have fast bowlers so winning in England should be possible for any team with good fast bowlers.Aussies certainly have those fast bowlers but they have been dominated in this test match which we have not seen from any team. They are still 2-1 up. Besides their fast bowlers are not swing trundlers who statpad in England The likes of Woakes,Broad, even Anderson are useless on non swing conditions.

Only tall bowlers have been somewhat effective here. Jamieson, Marco Jansen. Both super tall. This cameron green is masquerading as an all rounder. He has no real skills or guile to be a good fast bowler. CDG is better than him despite lower speed. Cameron Green is not bad at all, CDG would have been useless especially on this pitch stop comparing CDG bowling on juicy wickets to Green's bowling on this flat wicket. Starc is 6'6" , Cummin is 6'4", Hazelwood is 6'5" so there are no short bowlers in Australian attack. They don't know what has hit them.

THey get natural bounce. He was the one who owned us in the WTC final 2021. Jansen bowled well in the match against England. Australian bowlers are not versatile enough. Their method is wearing down the batsmen by bowling line and length consistently. Once you disturb them they have nowhere to run.

nitinbwj Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Lol.. Lots of water under the cover. Looks like they imported the covers from China .. Nope.. Not happening today.

If we use 100 overs as a bench mark Following are the innings with high run rate by ENgland. 5.49 vs Australia (107 overs) 4.20 vs NZ (128 overs) 3.89 vs SA (106 overs) Over a period of 4 tests England has a strike rate of 72.80 on an average against Australia. vs India 71 - test vs NZ 71 - 3 tests vs SA 62 - 3 tests Basically Australia is the worst among the lot. For the record India's strike rate against Australia was also 60 in that one off Test. That line up is predictable.
Jamadagni Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 (edited) So according to an "expert" on here, CDG is better than Cameron Green, who is a generational talent. Enough of ICF for this month!! Edited July 22, 2023 by Jamadagni

Jameison and Jansen have never faced this kind of batting in their career on these flat wickets. You are comparing Jamieson bowling India out on juicy pitch to this wicket. They would leak more runs. Jansen got pummeled by Aussies in Australia. He has been good when he has help from wickets . Aussies generate more bounce and pace than those two you have mentioned, They might not be capable of bowling at Mark Wood's pace but they still are fast enough. They certainly can generate more bounce and they have been swatted out brutally in test.

Keith jamieson signature characteristic itself is extra bounce of good length. They even have that in cricinfo profile. He had decent carry even in India. At Lords England chasing 250 odd he was the one who triggered a collapse. But others didn't support him. He took out Crawley cheaply in both innings. He did the same against India. Jansen bounce is insane. Just because you score runs off of him on flat roads doesn't mean he doesn't get natural bounce. At Gabba he bowled well. It is well known tall bowlers naturally generate more bounce because they have a much higher release point. Both these guys proved that in matches

But averages 42 against Australia 68 against Ireland 70 against Pakistan.

Indian bowlers won in England in two sessions twice too in 2021 too. You are taking it out of context. Yea that England side was different. Even Ireland rolled them over in one of the innings. They were rolled over by West Indies too. I don't say they are far better bowlers. Easier way you can undo them is with extra bounce. You can sustain natural bounce longer than effort bouncers. You are over-rating this Aussie attack. There is a reason why they lost two home series to India. Even to a side that had a bunch of T20 players. Full strength Australian bowling couldn't bowl us out in back to back matches. Then they struggled in Pakistan as well. Now here.

vvvslaxman Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 First over negotiated. English is seemingly banking on the low bounce from one end. Bowling wicket to wicket
vvvslaxman Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 There are very few Mark woods in the world. So i guess Travis head will continue enjoying his run of form for a while.
