only travball stands blocking Oz defeat. but I think eng will work him out sooner

Crowd is right behind them. Pressure will be more for Head. He is not playing a team in a neutral ground against IPL fatigued bollocks team.

Superb from Boland, now the onus is on Green, Usman and Head.

boland is batting well; there is a case for him to open the innings and send warner down the order

Great day. Hate Broad. But he produced a breathtaking spell. He is on his knees.

Barbie loves to be hated, and hates to be loved. does his best when he is being hated

Handled pressure really well. Was watching the last few overs live, not easy to do that.

Enough with the obituaries man. This is just 1st test

even as a big fan, I can see he is mostly done, barring a few good knocks here and there. unfortunately, his decline has happened almost as swiftly as Punter. I just hope he won't drag it out too much.

A few years in the future, the decline will set in for Root as well, although not as steeply (he should be able to manage better)

So with tomorrow, Khawaja will have batted on all 5 days. Is this the first time this has happened ever?

Nah has happened multiple times i think shastri or siddhu has done it and recently it was pujara i guess. Even more from other teams.

the much-hated chepu did it during his peak, I think around 2017

I still think 2018 Indian attack > current England attack. Just that we didn't continue that trend. Will England continue after Anderson/Broad.

yes, ollie will replace andie. they need to find someone for broad. and they have some brisk pacers in tongue, wood, archer (even if only 1 is fit at any given time)

These 13 runs scored by the nightwatchman Boland could be crucial. He looks determined to add some more.   LOL.

he is trying to push for a promotion to replace warner

He has achieved plenty already. Time catches upto everyone and then again unorthodox techniques tend not to age well.

Agree but for a batsman of his stature & ability i would have liked him to finish his career with average of 60 with 10k+ runs.

yes. The way uses the grip in different ways for different effect comes only with experience. New bowlers will take time to get to that kind of proficiency. And also Broad and Anderson never had any other distractions like IPL and other stuffs.

I would gladly take him as a pure batsman over 'Discount Duckula' anyday.

I would also take him over warner... or, as he is known, broad's bunny b**tch (BBB)
