the don Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Old isnt always gold. Pandya is way better, not even close. Yousaf’s bowling would be hit out of the attack every single time in this era.
zen Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Sir Don Pandya is unique among Indian cricketers with his ability to bat almost anywhere in the batting lineup and bowl at pace. As a package, he is right up there with India's greatest cricketers. Add to that that he is Ind's best clutch player (probably can add GG). Talking about just the big games: 2017 CT F - scored a 70-80 when others failed 2019 ODI SF - steadied the ship after Ind was 5/3 and then 24/4 2022 T20 WC SF - again scored a 60 odd when others crumbled under pressure Talking about him as an AR, he has tons of performances where he has scored 30+ runs & picked up 3 or more wickets. I have not followed cricket lately but even in the current series in WI, he hit a 70* in the ODI decider. And today in a T20 game where Ind has to win to keep the series alive, he hit a 24 and already picked up 2 wickets in the first over. Easy pick! Lord 1
