Exactly.  We can criticize Dhoni all we want,  but this is exactly what he calls "process". Pick your best player for each role. They keep getting better at that. And hope they all come together in knockout games. Just assembling a bunch of talented folks with no assigned roles is futile. Sanju had no business playing at 6. He should have come at 4 or 5.

Inspite of watching 15 seasons of IPL these morons don't understand what works in T20. If not IPL just look at England. I don't see any team that goes in with 4 out and out tailenders in a T20 game.

T20 records of our tail. Looking at the stat Kuldeep is a no.11 batsman. Think about others. no.12, no.13, no.14 batsmen

 

Kuldeep 43 innings 229 runs  272 balls 84.19 strike rate 17 fours

Yuzi 40 innings 78 runs  147 balls 53.06 strike rate  1 four 0 sixes

Arshdeep 17 innings 31 runs 47 balls 65.95 strike rate 3 fours

He gets beaten only on quick turning pitch. If the ball sits up like this he can smoke them big.

8 needs to be able to bat. 9 needs sme hitting ability. 

10 and 11 is fine. 

 

How hard is it to address these. Very incompetent management. Useless dravid and bcci. 

 

If you are a trundler in particular, please learn to bat otherwise you really shouldn't be picked.

This pandya is insecure trundler just to save his @ss he play extra bowlers. Him and Dravid tried same stunt in 2nd odi. Also you cant play mediocre bowlers who cant even clear the 30 yard circle in the team. Players like chahal, mukesh are not only mediocre in their primary skill are even more embarrassing when hold the bat. Kuldeep , Arshdeep, Siraj are as well can’t win a match even 7 required on 6 balls.

Despite our top order failure, this match was almost won by us.   Kuldeep batting at No.7 scored 3 from 9 balls. Means almost a maiden over.   How is this idiot's batting any better than a tailender?
