zubinpepsi Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I think it shud b Dhoni.. Shewag showed some signs of dumbness in some of the IPL matches.. with his bowling changes n team seleection.. i wud go for Dhoni///
Zakhmi Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 MSD is the man..his keeping skills have improved tremendously..and if he can chip in with the bat more consistently then i guess there wud be no questions on who wud captain our side..i think its jus a matter of time..maybe sometime next year MSD wud get it.. I think he may be tested for a few matches and BD or Zim to see his capabilities in tests b4 deciding to give it to him, finally. His natural instincts in T20 and ODI are interesting but tests are different. i was saying that as kaif should be the test captain He has lifted UP a lot in Ranji at the national level & led India U-19 very very well! ^^ It's a rhetorical question :giggle: well said!
gs Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 :hysterical: "In Sami we trust" :yay: Hey that's my line! but good timing though :--D
amits Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 can any of the mods edit the poll & add kaif to the list of options
SachDan Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Sehwag is a better captain than Dhoni..so he deserves a go.
zubinpepsi Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Sehwag is a better captain than Dhoni..so he deserves a go. care to explain?? shewag did lotsa goofups in this IPL thing...
coffee_rules Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 dhoni won against sa recently. time 2 say byebye to ak
siddhu Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Dhoni hasn't done anything worthwhile in tests and still not completely assured of a test spot (i am aware that his popularity may tell a different story) and Sehwag seems to be a better choice as he is more assured of a spot in tests. So my "horse" would be Sehwag. p.s. i am not in either camp and support both the players equally...
yoda Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 dhoni would fit the bill to continue our tradition of having non-performing captains which was only recently broken by dravid and kumble. time to make it right.
amits Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 it has to be kaif dhoni isnt test cricket material. although, he would be a great odi & 20/20 captain sehwag isnt fit enough to be captain. makes a lot of blunders. although, he is a great explosive opening batsman at the top yuvraj is unfit for cricket now
The Outsider Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 dhoni would fit the bill to continue our tradition of having non-performing captains which was only recently broken by dravid and kumble. time to make it right. Dravid as captain averaged 44 and Kumble averages 33, not exactly hotshot performances. Besides Dhoni is a specialist keeper and damn good one, not to mention averages 34 with the bat, by far the best for any Indian keeper and better than most international keepers.
f.b.m Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Needless to say that batting average of Dhoni is only going to head up. Dont know why but I voted for Sehwag. Probably the wrong decision.
Laaloo Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 lol dhoni? id give test captaincy to VVS anyday well thank god its u :yay:
Rohan495 Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 well thank god its u :yay: atleast VVS will be scoring captain unlike dhoni hiding behind players during different situations, in t20 agreed VVS shouldnt captain but dont see any logical reason why he should in tests hes the youngest out of the fab4
