England look like the team to beat in India. Even on turners, Root and Stokes can bail them out.

  1. Jason Roy
  2. Jonny Bairstow
  3. Joe Root
  4. Ben Stokes
  5. Liam Livingstone
  6. Jos Buttler (Captain, wk)
  7. Sam Curran
  8. Chris Woakes
  9. Jofra Archer
  10. Adil Rashid
  11. Mark Wood

David Malan is a momentum killer in this English line up, England anything slow by their standards. Under 10 RPO.

Malan is the Fraudujaa of Eng.

Eng struggling to get the acceleration after Bairstow's dismissal.   Nz hv put the brake on scoring rate by picking wickets.    Santner and Sodhi hv been good so far.

Haha. Sodhi, Santner, Finn Allen, Phillips, Chapman all looking in top form. Fellow Indian fans, are you still confident in our Jaddus and Shardul's and Kohli's?

This World Cup is looking more and more like a disaster :D

Every tom dick and harry are going to beat this one-dimensional unit. All the seamers are right handers. All the spinners are left handers. All the top order is right handers.

Phew ! What happened ? Just checked the score expecting that England scored something in excess of 200 and winning the match by 50 runs. But yeh toh ultaa ho gaya.

NZ chase the target in 17 overs. Wow

Honestly, it's worse than I thought. SL were so professional in the field.  They don't even have their full strength squad and still managed to defend in Lahore under lights. They look more athletic than Rohit and Shardul and don't look like dropping dollies like Kohli. Their lower order can bat and a part time off spinner( the kind of bowler that indian fans and experts believe are mythical creatures in the modern age) executed the last over under pressure and won the match.

Looks like our sure shot wins will only come against AFG and Netherlands in the World Cup. every other team will be a challenge

On an another related note, this is why an extra bowling heavy balance never works in cricket with Moeen and Sam Curran coming in at 6 and 7.  That's why Hardik and Fraudeja at 6 and 7 can never work.

Nz level the series 2-2.  Series ends in a Draw.  Full credit to the Kiwi spinners Santner and Sodhi for being able to restrict this explosive Eng batting on a patta.

Lack of a quality left arm express pacer is not only hurting our bowling but also batting (as batsmen are unable to get enough quality practice in the nets).  Can't play Undercutter &/or Arshdeep as both are trundlers. Arshdeep has not shown any improvement in pace or variety since his debut.  Moreover, he is a t20 bowler at best.  Won't last in a 50 over game which requires high stamina. 2 yrs ago, I had high hopes from Natarajan but the guy has disappeared completely...after frequent injuries.  Now we are in dire straits.

Santner is difficult to get away. Ravindra is also turning out to be a good allrounder. With Jamieson back, they have a very good team. 2-2 is a good result.
