Took a fifer recently against Australia and now against NZ and drop him?

 

Unless he has fitness issues , he should play. 

 

Thakur cannot bowl 7-8 overs even without getting hit.

I know a lot depends on the pitch, weather and the team but I think they may keep him and drop Siraj instead if they had only two pace bowlers to choose from.

 

Bumrah, SIraj, Shami, Kuldeep Jaddu is probably the preferred 5 bowlers.

More like FU to this TM, well not exactly the same but pretty much the brains trust has changed little since 2019 WC. Who picked Bhukhe over Shami in SF vs NZ, or 4 keepers?

If Pandya is available for England match, the decision of picking Ashwin over Siraj would be easy otherwise you continue with three pacers + kuldeep+ Jadeja. No need to bring Ashwin even if its Lucknow.

India should make sure Pandya is 100% his inclusion gives so much flexibility to the Indian line up.

Why? Jadeja is doing pretty well too. We have two good all rounders and like I have been saying few days ago, this 7 batsman combination is not a necessary because we have two good all rounders, other teams are actually going with bits and pieces.

 

Our only problem is #8 and we have been smart in selections till now. Hopefully, they continue this all the way through. This can be the best Indian team of all-time in ODI format.

Sober lite can play as the 7th batter, but do this on good pitches only. If it's really tough I would like to strengthen our batting because Iyer/Gill are looking below par especially Instastar

Shami should play ahead of Siraj if the team combo doesn't allow both to be in the starting XI.
