SA's best tactic this WC is 'resting' Bavuma because of illness.

Let's see if their sports minister intervenes or not! Is Hendricks counted among colored quota?

I think quota is only for squad not XI. Hendricks is colored but not black

Williams or someone has come in. He might be a replacment for ngidi.

And the quota is based on the average over a total number of matches played. Playing Bavuma in those meaningless bilateral matches earned Saffas the leeway to rest him if need be for the critical ones.

It was for the XI when ABD was forced to pick Fat arse over in form Abbott.

That's probably changed post 2015/16 - I remember it was a major issue that was also highlighted after the SF loss.

Mahmudullah's celebration annoyed me so much. I mean yeah I know he played very well & it means so much to after the selectors did everything they could to drop him but your team is losing by 170+, save it for later

Its not everyday that you score a 100 against a team of the calibre of SA in a WC.

Nothing wrong in the celebration.

DeCock could have definitely ended up as GOAT wicket keeper batsmen had he not decided to retire after this WC. 6500 runs at the age of 30, definitely could have scored 10k+,already 20 centuries....

Nope that would still be Gilly, his 80+ in SA IPL just before the final(09?) more than a year after his retirement, nearing 40 years, will not be matched by QDC, MS or anyone else! Not to mention almost 150 in QC final against near peak Murali. Malinga etc. Ponting gets way too much credit for that 140 odd on a platter of a wicket in 2003 where everyone from Oz scored 50 plus, but not Gilly against a much better attack in 2007 vs SL.
