The importance of SKY

As we near the final stages , it’s clear that ind , sa , aus and nz are the likely semi finalists.

Pandya gives us the 5th or 6th bowling option . When he is fit , he will be back .

question is - should we have sky in place of shardul or Ayer going forward ?

rsa , aussie and even nz have big power hitters . I do feel that if it’s not a turning pitch , india will be found wanting .

our power hitting is limited to sky and maybe pandya . I don’t expect anyone else capable of doing maxwell or klassen role .

sky is a must in semifinal and finals .

Donot think there is a role/position for SKY. He is not the one who can hit it like Klasen.

Sky likes to use the pace and the angle, at 5/6/7 he is useless, And donot think Ind is looking to change top 4 or top5.

Also Ind is not looking to bat-out opposition, they are working on a template where Rohit takes risks in PP and try getting some momentum and GIll and Kolhi to accumulate.

and try to get to some total from where they can think of upping the RR.

Realistically Ind team's approach is to get to 330 if batting first.

India had better be smart here and resort to Madness, it really needs to give game time to SKY, Kishan and Ashwin before the Finals.

Once Semi is secured, they should look to play them against the minnows.

The worst thing that could happen is if they dont play for a long time and all of a sudden are needed in a Final.

not seen him much but it is a fact he is a much better T20 player than 50 over player, which suggests he struggles with fear of failure and is likely wasted down the order unless he’s applying finishing touches to an already huge score.

No , seen him last games against aussie . Batted beautifully in the v . He is our trump card imo if flat pitches are there . He can get u a 40 ball 100 or even better . Also no weakness against short pitch balling .
