Srilanka now has to play bangladesh, afghanistan, india, new zealand.. they might lose against India but can win rest 3.. if they chase well they can have apositive run rate.. if they beat NZ in last match and nz loses against saf and aus who knows

Very unlikely that NZ will lose to SA, Aus, Pakistan as well as SL. Think they should get atleast one win there and reach 10 points.

SL loss against India at Wankhede is inevitable so if they win all their remaining matches, they also tie at 10 Points and given NZ's run rate they should be safe. NZ looking very safe right now.

Sri Lanka needed that victory against Pakistan to stay alive in the tournament, impossible to make up for defeats in the first few matches later on in the WC. They were even in a strong position against Australia batting first but once again lost the advantage.

One thing is for sure England's WC Campaign ends today if they lose against SL even if they might still have a small mathematical chance..

England won the 2019 wc by fluke due to 1. Umpire error allowing the overthrow 2. Boult dropping a sitter 3. Weirdest boundary count rule. They won against india by shortening one sid eof the ground to pummell chahal and kuldeep if i remember correctly

See they got all the luck on their side in 2019 and to some extent in 2022 t20 World Cup by winning the toss.

India never won a wc knockout toss in last 10 years till they won in icc test championship this year and mucked it up.. the other non wc icc toss they won was in 2017 ct final
