I think you most probably confusing yourself between sarfraz and musheer . Musheer looks a fit athlete playing cricket and do not see anything like having a problematic physique already as you alluded to. Sarfraz was quite different even at 16-17 .

he looks ok here, but I remember having seen him as a chubby kid who bowled to Yuvi. I have a feeling that if he's not very careful, that weight can & will come back easily
