Yes as I said, he only has longevity in Tests going for him. Bumrah has already won us many Tests in SENA

We are so blessed to have Bumrah and Shami at the same time. Like Bumrah here, Shami deserved the 2023 WC.

No in tests he has a bigger lead. His batting, although not at the level of Jadeja, has bailed us out a fair few times like in Sydney Oz away series!

How many home tests Bumrah has won compared to Ashwin.

 

Ashwin is a colossal figure in world cricket and more so in Indian cricket. People underestimate  the greatness of Ashwin.

 

He the biggest match winner in tests for India.It is due to one dimensional nature of Indian team, Ashwin has missed out on so many away tests.Where he sure would have done more than Jadeja.

 

Don't belittle Ashwin.

No Bumrah is not safe bet over Ashwin in India. Ashwin was machine before his body started betraying him and Bumrah is in his prime now. 

 

Ashwin took 150 wickets for fun.Ashwin missed out so many tests in SENA .Longevity is also very very important.

 

Ashwin in his prime in India will always be more important than Bumrah in Asia. You don't need Bumrah to win in Asia as Ashwin and Jadeja have proved  for last decade.

No they were not, Ashwin is far superior bowler than Jadeja ever was in his career. It is not even close.Ashwin's batting has gone down and Jadeja as improved his batting. 

 

So if Bumrah is not safe bet in Asia, how is he better bowler than Ashwin.

Why only Asian conditions matter? Most good spinners will win us matches in India/Asia. Jadeja has done so too, even Axar. We have been winning in India long before Ashwin debuted.

 

Only overseas you need quality pacers which we always struggled with, hence overseas losses. Bumrah has already won us games there and still has enough time.

Ashwin became best by experience and longevity. But we'll continue to produce good enough spinners for Indian pitches. Kuldeep for one is ready to take it forward.

 

Let me put it this way Ashwin the bowler will be replaced far easily than Bumrah.

Ashwin's not the best spinner in India ever, not even close! I'm using the 2020 cutoff point because Jadeja didn't play on the 3 spin friendly surfaces vs Eng 2021 where Axar was Bradman's pop with ball
