The Lok Sabha witnessed shocking scenes on Wednesday when two persons suddenly jumped into the House from the public gallery, carrying what appeared to be tear gas canisters.

What a farce. Big question marks on police, security personal  their chalta hai attitude.

And one intruder girl seems to be very highly educated. Our educated people should be less dependence on  government, instead have confidence to be leaders, profession ism, job creators. It really shows something wrong in our education training,  institutions. I have also interviewed some really dull-witted graduates...

isnt this a police problem? obviously they didnt check these guys enough,if you go through an airport you need to remove your shoe and they were not checking shoes in the freaking parliament for some reason.

Parliament security is handled by Para-military forces and not DP. They have to investigate who was responsible for the breach. MP staff gave passes. But they snuck in the tear gas can in their shoes going past 4 levels of checks to the public gallery. Serious lapse. Heads need to roll.

It can be result of lapse not just from one person but lapse at multiple levels.

1. How did they manage to sneak in canisters?

2. They stayed 30 mins past their allotted time while usually visitors are asked to leave 5 mins before allotted time.

More questions to follow.

Indian spectators are prevented from running on pitch by having that high wired barrier even for meaningless bilateral match, but parliament has no such barrier for visitors, so they could easily jump into MP area.

How can management of such institutions be worse than BCCI?

This incident has made one thing clear that Modi government has not made country safe as compared to previous governments. If two rag tag leftist students can throw smoke bombs in parliament then imagine what can fully trained terrorists with full organisationn structure can do.

It is just global reasons that terror attacks all over india are not  taking place o/w India is as much unsafe as it was earlier.

Not saying this was not a security breach, but comparing this attack to 100s of “real” terrorist attacks and thousands killed in 26/11, train bombs, bombs in Hyderabad, Ajmer, Zaveri bazaar and terrorist attacks on a daily basis under UPA 2004-14 and saying this is worse , is an overstatement and legendary KBWism

I guess that was the time as terrorism was peak worldwide . Strict actions worldwide  against terrorism, weakening of Pakistan economy. Terror funding drying worldwide could be the major reason behind terror attacks not happening much

If two students can breach security of parliament then terrorists can definitely breach it as well

Just because outcome wasn't bad doesn't mean it isn't that kind of breach.

Seems like an inside job. Danish Ali posted the pass that the UP guy got from ME Pratap’s office. Congress demanding Pratap Sumha’s expulsion.

One of the activists is from INC and INLD.

Most opposition blaming new parliament for the attack.

Full on toolkit operation.

Thorough investigation should be made and a few heads have to roll

Yeah, but you can’t call this dispensation worse than previous just based on this incident.Terrorists struck in other countries in the last 10 years more than compared to India. Even SL, BD had 26/11 like attacks.
