you are right. He is good in the middle phase. He can take on spinners and older ball better. He has an X factor about him. Pushing him up will eliminate that.

Man, why can't we develop the likes of Gurnoor Brar, Kuldeep Sen and Kartik Tyagi, Mohsin Khan at this level 

 

This 5fer will haunt us. This was a ridiculous with the early moisture. The lines and lengths were terrible for a normal flat ODI pitch.

Yeah, initial impressions looks good so far.

Hope he keeps his head down and continue to improve, Gill has really regressed from that Gabba inns..struggling against any kind of movement.

Sai is the best timer of the cricket ball in the entire country after Shubman.

 

Problem is he needs to be a #3 .  Shubman/Jaiswal opening duo is set in stone .  

 

I wish they'd play Sai at #3 and see how it goes.

His  county experience looked good. He shouldered responsibility under pressure in the middle.

No 3 shouldn't be an issue...he bats at no 3 for TN, sometimes even no 4.

Anyway I don't think it's mandatory for Gill to open if he continue to struggle against moving ball. Sai's calmness can be perfect foil to Jaiswal's aggression.
