So pandya is still in A, Kohli in A+, while only Iyer and kishan were removed.

Bharat, Mukesh and Patidhar all get C while Jurel and Sarfraz need to play one more test to be eligible

Couldn't these bozos wait for one more test before announcing this? Jurel could have been part of it.

Additionally, athletes who meet the criteria of playing a minimum of 3 Tests or 8 ODIs or 10 T20Is within the specified period will automatically be included in Grade C on a pro-rata basis. For instance, Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan, having played 2 Test matches so far, will be inducted into Grade C if they participate in the Dharamsala Test Match, i.e., the 5th Test of the ongoing series against England.

Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have both been excluded from the 30-member list of centrally contracted players announced by the BCCI on Wednesday. The selection committee has also recommended new category - Fast Bowling contracts - in which Akash Deep, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal and Vidwath Kaverappa have been included.

List of contracted players for 2023-24:

Grade A+: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.

Grade A: R Ashwin, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya.

Grade B: Surya Kumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Grade C: Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaekwad, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, KS Bharat, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan and Rajat Patidar.

Fast Bowling contracts: Akash Deep, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal and Vidwath Kaverappa.

Getting paid for literally doing nothing :adore:

Cheteshwar Pujara, Umesh Yadav, Shikhar Dhawan, Deepak Hooda and Yuzvendra Chahal have been omitted altogether.

Game over for Hooda and Chahal?

The problem is that IF is only getting bigger with every series

What has that got to do with him getting grade A contract. These contracts are also for what youcan do in future. He is injury prone play and if he is replaced by someone else , then they will kick him out.

If pant can be demoted why not this bozo who cannot stay fit for any mength of period. Not like he achieved anything. Look at his ICc rankings in various formats.

I am surprised to see Pant not getting atleast Grade A . I don't know which Idiot thought it was okay for Pant to be in grade B. Pandya getting Grade A should not have anything to do with Pant .

Why shouldn't Kohli be in A+ again.Pandya also belongs in A as he plays both whiteball formats.

Pandya should have been demoted due to his injury issue during internationals but never miss an ipl match any year.

I look at this way, BCCI has enough funds to give players, they are not getting  bankrupt by paying these players.

Demoting Pant is bigger issue for me than giving Pandya grade A contract.Pant deserves to be Grade A contract.

Pandya is injured, so why is he being targetted, if healthy he will play in both white ball formats.

How come he magically gets fit during ipl, he played last ipl after long injury break, than again went on injury break during wc and now again fit to play ipl. On what basis he is in any contract.
