Think their plan was to try qualify without Mayank and once they are in use him as a pure match winner in Qualifier.

Reemergence of DC has changed the tables a bit but still apart from RR all other 5 teams are 10 points , KKR has played 8 games rest 9-10.

And then they wouldn't want to change their winning combo for an inexperienced bowler. I've seen enough to not buying into this idea by any management that has Indian geniuses in it.

Hopefully Mr Agarkar does not do his thing before Mayank gets to bowl tomorrow. Unfortunately the match is quite late....

I don't have a good feeling about all this - getting fit just before the team is announced.

Mayank won't be selected. They are only selecting 3 fast bowlers in the squad and do you really want someone who is a bit injury prone in that limited squad?  Would be a poor decision

Actually yes I do.... if that someone is capable of bowling 155 kmph for even a couple of matches and maybe give us a chance to win the WC instead of a super fit trundler who will do nothing.

They'll be sending backup net bowlers with the squad. It's not like they'll only send the 15 players in the squad isn't it?

They can send 3 traveling reserves, do not think rest are allowed or Boards have to  bear the expenses and then there are multiple restrictions.

The issue will be travel with so many cntries involved

India did have a 16th member in the squad for a world Cup in Australia few years ago..

There will be traveling standbyes who can replace any injured player.

If Mayank gets a slight niggle , he won't be able to play a crucial match but they won't allow him to be replaced either.

We need to have a squad with an extra fast bowler to cover for this .

But our batters fear playing express pacers in nets..so he wont be in the net practicevteam too

All on record.

Apparently net sessions with bumrah is scary. Guys like kishan iyer and ghujara etc all try and bail out from net sessions if he is bowling.

Rahul etc got hurt twice by kartik tyagi and then tyagi was sidelined

Kuldeep Sen injured some players in nets.

I am sure mayank will scare players in nets too

Few years back shami was scary to face in nets according to some of our players. Like around 2018 to 2021 period, to survive net sessions itself is a big achievement if you cane out unscathed.
