Sorry for your loss. Pets are like children. You never want them to die before you. The unfortunate truth is they live shorter. The only way to heal to accept it but it takes time. You should take care of other dog. It affects them more than us. Be close to that one and may be go on walks and spend more time.

Sorry to hear that ... This is one of the reasons I stopped keeping pets. Life is beautiful when they are around, but when they leave, there is a lot of pain.

Same here. The pain of losing them can never be overcome by the joy they create when they are with us. My cousins had pets growing up but their shorter lives makes me not to have them

PS - I feed birds daily that gives me more satisfaction because I don’t have to deal with the sorrow

I already know that once my dog passes away ill be a emotional mess- just thinking the thought of him passing away eventually puts me in tears so cant imagine the actual day that happens.

Its interesting that nothing else makes me that emotional but people don't realise how much unconditional love your dog has for you- more so than even close family members
