People are forgetting his contribution as an opener in 2007 series win against England (India's last series win in England). Karthik was brilliant in that series and averaged 44. He is a good analyst and a commentator. He also had some good interviews with Virat & Rohit when they were in England. Saying that he should not be having a good post cricket life because he did not have a good cricketing career is ridiculous. There are examples of great coaches in professional sports who weren't brilliant themselves during their playing days, does not mean they don't deserve the fame and success. Spin, pace. His only problem he is too restless to construct longish innings. He was having great domestsic season for a while. Thought he learnt the art of constructing long innings. But it was too late by that time. There were times both MSS and DK played together. Infact DK and MSD played 68 ODIs together. He batted in various positions. The famous first ever 200 in ODI history match. DK and Sachin added 194 runs.
