He cant clean kuldeep shoes minus one bd innings. He dropped soo many catches while playing tests too

But my favorite is his 93 against Pakistan. India was in pretty bad shape when he joined Dravid. That innings proved to be crucial in winning the Test along with twin centuries from Dravid.

Also India's first T20I. Rescued from a tough situation

Colossal waste of talent

Post that test series...MSD came and smashed 183 vs Pakistan.

After that it was all over.

He did not get continuous chances and was always playing under pressure. Yes he wasted the chances given to him at the later stage of his career. People are forgetting his contribution as an opener in 2007 series win against England (India's last series win in England). Karthik was brilliant in that series and averaged 44. He is a good analyst and a commentator. He also had some good interviews with Virat & Rohit when they were in England. Saying that he should not be having a good post cricket life because he did not have a good cricketing career is ridiculous.

There are examples of great coaches in professional sports who weren't brilliant themselves during their playing days, does not mean they don't deserve the fame and success. Stop being judgmental, no one gets anything easily which we ourselves can attest from our lives and careers.

That was 148 on a road. But in ODIs he showed us something we have never seen before.

He played as a test opener both in SA and ENgland. Did okay.  He had no real weakness. Spin, pace. His only problem he is too restless to construct longish innings. He was having great domestsic season for a while. Thought he learnt the art of constructing long innings. But it was too late by that time. There were times both MSS and DK played together. Infact DK and MSD played 68 ODIs together. He batted in various positions.

The famous first ever 200 in ODI history match.  DK and Sachin added 194 runs. At that DK batted at 4

Here he batted as opener at kingston.

Here he batted at 7. This match was memorable because Dhoni played on one leg as he was injured. He couldn't strike forcefully. INdia lost 5 wickets. With 100 more to get him being the last recognized batsman India was one wicket away from losing the match. But he made a brisk  58 and see India home.

He was always content with playing supoprt role. Never came out of the shadow. One of those guys who did whatever he was asked to do.
