Luck plays a major role in t20. One fluky 100 by some irish player, one runout, one difficult catch and you never know. Its so easy to beat Rohit, Virat, Jaddu, Rahul. Just create panic and these guys will do the rest. I feel SKY is in the same category.

What this impact sub rule showed is that in t20, team needs to bat deep.

Play at higher rr get above par score , 200s are chaseable now, 1-2 overs are changing the results.

That they will rest good players is precisely the reason why KL Rahul will play. A great player is more about  grit than talent and KL does not fall in that category so far.

 

As far as statpadding is concerned senior players like Rohit , Kohli, Ashwin and Jadeja are statpadding at every opportunity or playing beyond their sell by date because of the backing of the toxic nexus of  management, corporate sponsors and paid media rather than adding any real cricketing value for last 3 years.

 

In terms of protecting self interests ahead of the team, some of our players are no different from the neighbouring country. Ofcourse Pakistan have a different standard of their own which is hard to beat but that still does not take credit away from our lot who continues to milk the system.
