Chakdephatte
With each passing game, I am getting more convinced that Hardik Pandya's decision to leave GT was a great one. It may be selfish but players have the right to choose best for themselves. We expected some years that Gill will be one of our star batsman this decade. But as of now, Gujarat Titans is only hurting his brand. This team gets most of their matches on Weekdays as it doesn't get traction from audience. I believe a mega auction can change team dynamics. But what I don't understand is why at all was Ahmadabad was chosen as an IPl venue. Does it have the best cricketing culture even in Gujarat? Baroda, or even Surat, is much better. The world's biggest stadium is just a bubble. The facilities are not there. Crowd atmosphere is not the same as other grounds in India, but maybe it's because of it being a new franchise. The ground is one of lower scoring ones in India, big straight boundaries and now the memories of 19 November. Except the name Modi, there is no reason for having this franchise in Ahmadabad. In fact, both new franchises are quite boring and not not have the kind of following in future as well. I am not in favour of monopoly of a dew teams but Imagine if our best batsman this decade plays for one of the big three. It will be great deals for fans, and sponsors (who indirectly run IPL). Even DC will do it, the local support is better. I am serious. There is no reason he should continue here. Apart from loyalty
Chakdephatte
This is not a slander for horrible team construction of GT. Although we deserve a separate thread for it.

tapandrun
Plays for a team becomes the captain in 2years when he is just 24, with min to no interference from owners. No helicopter seniors who are not letting you to take control of the team fully, Franchise already won a title so no pressure of bringing trophy home in near future what else would a young Ind player want ? There are set-up like PBKS where one is not sure if they be there by end of the season. CSK where one have to fill the boots of Dhoni. RCB where there is King Kolhi and his evey years fights, KKR with SRK your team is always in Focus, MI is great mess. RR even if your team tops the chart no one talks about you score tons of runs in the same league they talk about as if they have scored these runs in some other smaller league. nevada

tapandrun
They are playing 3 intnl (OS) bowlers when their batting is a problem, should have replaced Johnson with Tyagi 2/3 matches before add another OS batter. Wade opens in Aus BBL and finisher in Aus Intnl team can be sloted anywhere plus a genuine keeper- Solves multiple problem. Can play one of Rashid or Noor, Kishore can play in as another spinner. Strangering
How is Mumbai working out for Hardik's move? GT is just fine. They're missing Shami. One good bowler with tight 4 overs can make all the difference. I agree on Ahmedabad comment tho. Baroda is where cricket crazies live in Gujarat. Ahmedabad is full of superficial wealthy kids who look down at Cricket as too "chapri".
