One obvious outcome of selections is focus on multiskill all-round players like

 

Selection of Sundar parag in both format 

Selection of harshit rana in odis

 

So we have Sundar parag Axar harshit with good potential for all round performance with hardik also in scheme of things

 

I think Gambhir has realised that 6+5 combination was main reason of findia falling in knockouts as thin batting line gave less confidence to batters

 

We have already seen in kkr gambhir prefera allrounders 

 

Hopefully the investment pays off

He is a batsman who bowls some medium pace.
