But system is different. 

 

Whoever the finalists have beaten en route to finals, those beaten athletes fight for bronze. The losing R16 girl will play losing QF girl. Winner of that will play losing SF girl. Whoever wins that gets bronze. One bronze on each half of the draw. 

 

That is why if you lose in wretsling, better lose to a beast who goes all the way to the final. Then you'll get extra shot at medal, that's how Sushil got his bronze in 2008, Yogeshwar in 2012, Sakshi in 2016, Bajrang in 2021. 

Yogeshwar with that twisting thingy(dont know name of that move), Sushil becoming a maneater on the mat...

Yui Susaki has lost only 3 games in her entire career (and all to the same wrestler) and is considered pound for pound the best woman wrestler in the world and one of the all time legends in woman's wrestling. She is also only 25 years old.

Seedings don't seem to matter that much till now. Even that Cuban SF opponent of Vinesh is unseeded.

Ukrainian lady is out unless Vinesh Phogat wins the semi-final. Then she has a chance in the repechange to beat the Japanese lady that Vinesh beat and then beat the Cuban.

No chance of that happening.

 

Vinesh will face one of the others who lost to the eventual finalist, the Cuban.
