Rationalists and womens rights activists? Can you name them?

Most of them opposing “his” inclusion in a “women’s”  event. He has been proven to have XY chromosome. Not a Transexual.

I used to be an ally of the LGBT movement until the Q and + got added on. Who cares what someone identifies themselves as? You are either male, female or trans... when did people get to choose what they could wish to be?

Also the sheer numbers

"The report found about 16% of Millennials and 7% of Baby Boomers identify as LGBTQ. But among Gen Z adults ages 18–25, 72% identified as straight, 15% as bisexual, 5% as gay or lesbian and 8% as “something else,” according to the report. About 20% of Americans are Gen Z, according to PRRI."

In young generation(gen z) in USA, LGBTQ are 28% ....in next generation, it could be arnd 40% the way it is growing.

No, because she is a woman by every definition and not a trans man who transitioned. And neither does she identify as a man.

She or he identifying as a man or woman is the biggest woke narrative joke in modern times. It needs scientific proof - testosterone levels, x-y chromosomes, genitalia, womb, ovaries etc.  You can’t have male features and identity as a woman and compete in women events in competitive sports

Woke up with broken dreams. Yesterday's hockey result was as painful as Nov 19 especially because our warriors deserved shot at gold. There must be divine justice at some point.

Didn't watch the hockey once Germany went up 2-1. Sad to see the result in the morning. Hope today is a good day. We have more shots at medals than any other day.

What proof did you bring except from rumor mongering sites? All you guys are going on is looks which is a very slippery slope, people can say phogat looked too muscular yesterday and should be disqualified.

Every single source I read have shown me that no evidence of her having X Y chromosome has ever been found.

Russian losers spreading lies and propaganda after losing in 2023 and you guys blindly believing it doesn't count.

Antim Panghal starts her wrestling bouts. Vinesh in the gold medal bout in the night. Avinash Sable in the night as well.

Chanu in weightlifting (based on her results she has a good shot at a medal). 4 contenders for medals in her weight class - overwhelming fav the Chinese lady and Romanian lady for silver/gold

Otherwise:

Annu Rani in Javelin women's (doubtful she will qualify for finals). Jyoti Yarraji as well in the 100m hurdles - hope she makes the finals. Praveen Chitravel should qualify for the finals at least in Mens triple jump today.

Appeals to authority and the other way round can work both ways, not just one. Especially where 'sources' are concerned who are themselves not impartial and free from their own agendas.

Mirabai if fit will medal.

Chinese the runaway favorite.

Then 5 athletes competing for 2 medals. Mirabai still has the second best lift after Chinese but lowest among them this season at 184 kg.

If she can lift in 200-204 kg range, then we talking. Everything boils down to her fitness, nobody can doubt her ability and mental strength. Just that like Sindhu she has spent more time in rehab since 2023.

Still have Steve Redgrave's Sportstar poster from Sydney 2000. Him, Marion Jones, Cathy Freeman, Maurice Greene, Ian Thorpe were all the rage in Sydney.

Yea. I remember that Olympics were the first time the results were online. I must have broken my keyboards trying to refresh the page. Had some hopes in boxing and was so disappointed when they lost in the QFs. Karnam Malleswari came out of nowhere in that. Don't remember any other hopefuls we had at that time. In fact I remember we hardly used to participate seriously in anything. A sea change from those days in the 00s where we literally had no medal hopefuls.

https://www.iba.sport/news/iba-clarifies-the-facts-the-letter-to-the-ioc-regarding-two-ineligible-boxers-was-sent-and-acknowledged/

Dated 05-08-2024

"Following many complaints from several coaches, boxers agreed to gender testing. Blood sample collection was made on 17 May 2022. Sistem Tip Laboratory from Istanbul (License Number: 194-MRK) issued its report on 24 May 2022, after the competition ended. The laboratory detected results that didn’t match the eligibility criteria for IBA women’s events."

"The situation was completely new to boxing, and IBA, following numerous consultations, decided to conduct a second testing before disqualifying the boxers. However, the second testing could only be conducted in a neutral country and within the IBA competition period.

At the next IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships 2023 in New Delhi, Khelif and Lin were tested following their consent again before their first fights. Blood sample collection was made on 17 March 2023. Dr Lal PathLabs from New Delhi issued its report on 23 March 2023. The findings were absolutely identical to the first test results."

@The Hound @Kron

Yes IBA, the corrupt russian stooge is the bastion of impartiality and justice. The president is literally in Putins pocket and ahd done multiple things to help russian boxers and disqualify others. Her tests was done because she literally defeated the undefeated russian champions, imagining such tests done on Phogat by someone in Japans pocket because she defeated their undefeated champion, we all will blindly believe those tests?

There is a reason IOC doesn't recognise the organization and has cut all ties from it and so have other boxing organizations.

You are literally spreading the same propaganda from the actual source which created it.

It's hilarious that so many people complain about bias here against India but then cite the single most corrupt and biased organisation in entire sporting world as proof. IBA is just tie propaganda arm if Putin using sports just like Hitler used DFB for football.

This one will really hurt for long. Golden chance to reclaim the lost glory slipped from our hands. Don't know when will we get a team like this ever again. After 2-2 we should have kept attacking, Germans were not comfortable in defence.

True.

This lady is in the same range as Chanu - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mihaela_Cambei - the Romanian

This Beligian is also a serious medal contender - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nina_Sterckx - from Belgium

Also a bronze contender - Jourdan Delacruz - Wikipedia USA, and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surodchana_Khambao

Realistically, Mirabai is a bronze contender.
