High pace bowlers are hyped so much so much that they stop working on control.

Saini is finished, there was no need of playing him again.
He is 32 years old, we shouldn't play 30+ year old pacers who are yet to establish themselves. Better move to younger bowlers.

Even the trundlers lack control. Its just they are less crucified and blamed coz in India we have somewhat "moderate" way of dealing them.
Maybe we feel nostalgic when we see a trundler, as they have been since the day India is playing cricket.

Many trundlers don't have control. But the only  ones with any control happen to be trundlers.

 

Bumrah and Shami of the last year or two are the only bowlers who had 140 + pace and bowled a high percentage on a good line and length for a reasonable period of time.

Bumrah, Shami...from new bowlers Mayank has good control. Even Umran too isn't as wayward, his lengths are a problem but his line is correct most of the time hence he gets LBW and bowled often.
From past quicks, Srinath too had good control despite being quite fast.
Tyagi is wayward, no doubt about it. Sen has better control than Umesh.

I'm talking about elite control. Like 40 % and upwards  good line and length stuff. 

 

From whatever data I have seen, a large number of Australian seamers have all had that level of accuracy .

 

Even their 2nd string guys like Stuart Clark and Jackson Bird bowl that accurately. 

 

That level of mechanical efficiency is lacking in most of our bowlers.

From current crop, Cummins and Hazelwood are accurate. Starc isn't, just that the pressure create by other 2 are enough for Starc to survive.
In SA, the era of Steyn, Morkel and Philander was the one where all 3 were accurate.
For India, Bumrah and Shami are accurate, Siraj too has reasonably good control.

Harshit has very good potential with the bat, very close to Bhajji's level.
The way he is rotating the strike and shielding no 11 is something should be applauded.

Yeah Starc isn't but Boland is very accurate. They have a plethora of accurate bowlers .

 

Morkel had everything going for him except accuracy. 

 

An accurate Morkel would have been a scary bowler. 

 

To be fair it's only OZ who produce so many accurate bowlers. 

 

No other nation seems to produce as many.
