Australia has 26 million population.The cannot support more than 6 teams. It is not due to some great filtering process.

Australia is blessed to have a golden bowling generation. Gap between them and next level seems very high. Their pacers dominate in all formats and there are not many next gen bowlers who have good amount of experience.
 

i feel England may have a chance next year in Australia if starc hazlewood are not able to maintain fitness. Cummins May have a longer run.

Have you seen their U19 quicks... They are extremely talented especially Vidler.

We can do the same by making Duleep Tophy (zone-based format) as premier trophy instead of Ranjis

Yeah Aus had the best U19 fast bowlers in WC that I watched. Was it this year or last year?

Duleep trophy was Zone based for long long time and it was one of the most important tournaments.

 

Ranji has to be premier trophy.

 

BCCI needs to bring back zone based, it builds rivarly too which is good for the competition.

Even then it was a very short tournament

 

It should be atleast 30 games with 2 rounds of round robin games alongwith knockouts.

 

Lot of Ranji players pad their stats due to inferior opposition. This is solved by zonal cricket so has to be prioritised.

Major selections were made from Duleep trophy and Irani trophy.

 

No good selector will select based on just  Ranji stats.

no primarily Ranjis is considered as Duleep and Irani trophy provide much smaller sample size.
