Tokyo I followed with great enthusiasm because of how improved our abled contingent performed. After the letdown that was the abled contingent in Paris - had nothing left to give to follow this.

Shoutout to all our paralympic athletes! In just 1 event they more than doubled our overall medals tally across all paralympics since 1968. Lionhearted performances from all involved. Special shoutout to athletes like Mariyanna Thangavelu, Sumit Antil etc. who have won medals across multiple events. May they get all the plaudits and prizes they are due.

Yes irrespective of medals each of them is such an inspiring story. Hope they get their due recognition.

I agree on all recognition etc., but Indians’ attitude towards handicapped or differently abled is very bad. There are no ramps in most places in cities to access to buildings. They used to say vikalang , now by just calling divyang doesn’t change much. Most metro stations in Bangalore has stairs, just need to upgrade to escalators or elevators. Handicapped cannot get in to buses or trains. It is a work in progress

Yep differently abled can not function independently in India. Why is why these paralympians are true champions.
