Kuldeep Sen,Karthik Tyagi,Umran Malik have not been properly utilised by BCCI.

Hope they groom Mayank Yadav as he has all the incredients to succeed at international level.

All BCCI does is not groom but broom fk ups under the carpet..

Forget Mayank, he is already spending more time at NCA than playing.

 

Soon he will also join the long of list of bowlers, what could have been, probably he will also start bowling at 135 to prolong his career.

 

Our system is like a pentium 4 processor when it comes to handling fast bowlers.

 

Bumrah was an exception, may be because he is a such freak, they had no clue so left him alone, if he was conventional he would have joined the list too. Even Siraj looks a like a shadow of the bowler he was.

yes..... the moment they start messing with a bowlers action, the bowler is probably done.

 

Strangely nobody calls them out on this. I have never heard a Kapil, Srinath or Zaheer haul these people over the coals for what they have done.

Problem is these pace bowlers just don't play first class regularly 

 

I think if any good fast bowler can play atleast 10 ranji matches and just be difficult to face and pick up some wickets they will be in team india

 

But all the pacers just never play anywhere other than ipl

 

Kuldeep sen was probably best of them but just not playing or performing in any level

When they make themselves available they aren't played either,doesn't mean they shouldn't play

Pitches are highly pathetic in domestics,there were talks of improving the quality long long back but haven't seen any effort or plan in recent times or in last 5-6 years

Don't fully agree with this tbh. All three have been unlucky with injuries. Kuldeep played an ODI and would have played more if fit. He was injured for much of last years domestic season.

 

Tyagi and Umran were given A team appearances despite no or very little FC experience, fast tracked because of their pace. 

 

Not BCCIs fault they're so injury prone. Also Tyagi does not even make his state 11 in FC cricket.

He was fit and played last year Syed Mushtaq Ali consistently.

 

Injuries will happen but who was the bright mind who thought that changing action will help Mayank ?

He is getting injured at the same place while bowling with new action as well, so think tinkering with the old action was again a blunder by NCA couch potatoes

Sen's career took a nosedive since he switched his home state.

The new state didn't play him and MP brought Kulwant Khejroliya as his replacement...Na Ghar ka aur na ghaat ka.

The problem with pacer is not just 1 way issue, its been multiway issue for last 3/4 years now.

 

At Intnl level, Ind kept losing the bowler and thinning the bench strength but no effort was made to induct some high potential bowlers.

All they did was to add recycle bowlers like unadkat,saini , now they are trying to do same with khaleel, Avesh. They added mukesh kumar but is he really a test/odi option.

Avesh is unable to graduate to a full strength ind. side and do nt think this is going to happen , he is already losing pace. saini kept of touring and being selected for Ind A.

 

Umran got chances, he should have won atleast 1-2 matches on his own with his pace. If the bowler is expensive its really hard to maintain place in Ind side. One can be ordinary bowler but is bit eco. he can be given more matches.

rest are mostly injured and not available for the season, and when they are available they donot get game, where are they going to improve.

These days a players is only selected if some franchises is baking them else its a though competition. 

 

And the other problem is kind of bowlers being preferred by Ind tm and selectors ,In white-ball they are mostly looking for ~140ish kmph bowlers with some ability to bowl yorkers and once they promote these kind of bowlers, IPL team tends to follow the same and have same kind of bowlers in their team or start looking for such bowlers and promoting them in domestics. This is were we see -- Avesh, Singh, Mukesh etc ... all ~140ish kmph.

 

In last few A or development group tournaments Ind has been selecting some average to ordinary bowlers inplace of picking high potential bowlers. 

In Asian games Ind did nt pick Umraan, Emerging Asia cup they picked Kamboj, Aqif and Dar, any1 of them looks like intnl quality ????

He has potential to be one of the generational bowlers, such a good action, can generate pace and bounce without much effort, and also he has kind of action he can move the ball at pace, only if he can get proper guidance.. at the moment seems injury prone.

The moment a bowler goes to NCA he's done. NCA is rife with nepotism with sifarshis running the place. It's the graveyard for fast bowlers and the latest victim was Kartik Tyagi. Hope Mayank isn't there else that's it for him.
