Gautam Gambhir performance as coach

He started his fake revolutionist nautanki with mindless Dhoni criticism in every interview. Mo matter what the topic was, he would drag Dhoni and his six inthe discussion out of personal grudge and people thought he is some revolutionary fighting against higher authorities. 

 

Now after joining BJP, he started this common man nautanki. He somehow convinces us that cricket is related to the national pride. His non-cricketing career was based on belittling others and fake bravado.

You can’t accept it that he was poor in England and Australia last series. Gambhir also gets his due after a long IPL he got a young team to draw a series

Not a big fan of GG as coach. But was surprised to see talks around him going. He won the champions trophy. This was his first series with his team. He made mistakes. But his team drew séries with very young inexperienced Team.

If guy like Gill could score 700 and Rahul  500 runs.Kohli would have done just fine.Afterall  he did score more runs than Gill in Australia.He still is the greatest captain.

 

Playing all formats with intensity did  kill his career.

Agree but he has been disastrous in tests until this series

I still don't rate him in tests 

 

Playing three out of NKR , Thakur, Jadeja and Sundar isn't viable strategy in test cricket. But he has been fooled by the test match wins here and in Aus. 

 

We went into this match effectively with three bowlers 

 

That is poor selection again 

 

That we won this match was down to luck to a great extent with Woakes getting injured

Yes , I am complaing about the coach because he is an idiot. India has won overcoming his coaching.

 

I don't know if it is true or not but I would take him as captain over guys like Bumrah or Rohit.

Yes, his obsession with allrounders in test cricket is nauseating but he can relax for a year now.

 

Next 4 tests are home tests with no need of Reddy & Thakur. The spin trioka is settled too - Washi, Jadeja & Kuldeep.
