Damage's already done. SCG Test will be impacted by weather so the BGT is lost. Both Rohit and Kohli have already made the difference in favor of Australia.

Gavaskar worries all this talk of retirement will focus attention on commentators who are well past retirement age themselves. 

He is overexposed these days and has become an establishment sycophant. He has nothing insightful to say most of the time yet has a microphone thrust in his face every couple of hours for "expert views".

At over 70 now it's time for a stategic timeout for him. Bhogle needs to follow as well.

Makes sense. After all Rohit and Kohli's main objective is to scupper any chances of India making it to WTC final. They've already ensured it with their performances against NZ at home and Aus so far. They'll ensure last rites are performed at SCG.

This is exactly what happens when you bring in non-performers in a high-performing team. It's not just about cricket or sports. In any corporate job, bring in a non-deserving leader or bring in non-deserving sifarshis in the team and the team will implode.

The bottom line is that Australia are the better led, more skilled team playing at home. India have been a declining team carrying excess baggage and have a one man bowling attack. On top, they have been making random changes in every game while dodging the key decisions.  In contrast despite losing the first game by a huge margin, Australia have stuck to a fairly settled side all through. I fully expect some bizzarre selection decisions in the last test as well. If any team deserves to win it is Australia and India would need a large dose of luck not to lose 3-1. They can get lucky but definitely do not  deserve to draw the series based on the way they have played.

Aus deserved to win 4-1, but got robbed due to rain.

We dominated them in Perth. They are far worse than what Rohit made them look.

GG is not and cannot be a good coach. He is too impulsive by nature which goes against how a coach should be. This is the reason he wants SKY in test team after T20I innings, too reactive.

But one thing I don't doubt is the guy cares deeply about winning and is fairly righteous, always puts team before individual and speaks against this disease of star culture propagated by broadcasters.

He dropped himself in IPL'14 when he couldn't make runs and offered to return his salary back to owners.
