Taking a sentence out of context and putting the title "Glorification of Urdu" is disingenuous. 

 

You are setting a narrative here! That Urdu is being imposed on innocent Hindus by Bollywood to brainwash them into hating their own customs and history. And then you go on to show random scenes from flop movies in the annexe to support your claim. Who has even watched Bemisal? And even if many have, do we take history lessons from movies because AB in an unrelated scene in an obscure movie in the 70s/80s said so?

A caricaturish portrayal of nawabs and their entourage. Mocking of their way of speech etc. Does it anger me? Not at all. Its a movie. Its comedy. I laugh it off, even when I see it now, and absolutely love the movie.

Having a few Persian words sprinkled in a song is a cardinal sin, but a song starting with Sayonara Sayonara is okay? Senoirita from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has an entire mukhda in Spanish. Nashe se chaddh gayi hai has French sprinkled along the way.

Duplicitous that there is no objection raised here. No comments on how the poor viewers would relate to those languages. Why is that?

 

Thanks for clarifying about the reel. I never claimed imposed on Hindus by Hollywood. It's a preferrence , while the amount of Urdu speakers are less compared to other languages. It's not just Bemisal, but a lot of writers do write on similar lines. Maybe there is a concerted effort or maybe this is a conspiracy., hardto be convinced that it is conspiracy.  Regarding Japanese or French words, those movies are set in those countries, so goes with the story.

Sorry this is not about Saif, but I couldn't help but put the incompetence of law enforcement in a wider context. 

 

I suppose it is not good form to respond to one's own post, but I had to share this as more evidence for why we must eliminate the death penalty.

Bennett's case, several forensic experts have concluded that Hayne and West made critical interpretive errors in Brandon's autopsy. Most notably, they attributed over a dozen abrasions on Brandon's body to Devin's alleged abuse. Yet when Brandon arrived at the first hospital, a nurse found no unusual marks on Brandon's body and noticed no abnormalities on the head or rest of the body.

Had anyone explored Brandon's previous medical records (which were at the hospital) or checked with child protective services, they would have learned that Brandon never showed medical evidence of bruising. Bennett and his girlfriend never missed a pediatrician appointment. According to Bennett, the only potentially negative thing they had ever been accused of doing to Brandon was overfeeding him.

Between the initial emergency room visit and Brandon's transfer to another hospital, Brandon underwent more than one unsuccessful intubation, several resuscitation efforts, and organ harvesting. All cause bruising and abrasions.

Bennett's attorneys argue that what Hayne presented as evidence of shaken baby syndrome could have been bruising caused by medical professionals trying to save Brandon from the effects of a fall.
