They have their own spinners though. Zampa, Maxi and then Head,Smith can bowl too.

Apart from Travis Head, no one plays left arm pace well in that lineup or left arm wrist spin. 

 

Head and Smith are only ones who play SLA spin well.

 

The problem really is Travis Head. 

 

You need to bowl hard lengths on leg stump and hope for the best.

How can you play 3 pacers on this pitch and that too against Australia? And dropping Varun C???? This is playing right into Australia's hands. If we play this team we lose the match. Our pacers will be hit to all corners of the ground, Kuldeep is gonna shyte the bed and when we bat, Zampa and their part timers are gonna keep us below the target.

Drop Kuldeep and play Varun C then. But I don't think we should play 4 spinners

There's a difference between Head, Smith, Maxi and Varun C, Axar, Jadeja, Sundar/Kuldeep. Other than Zampa we've nothing to fear. Our biggest concern is our mental midgets and that's why want Pant to replace KL and Sundar to replace Kuldeep. Time to back temperament and mentally stronger players.

We should actually play 5 spinners. Aussies don't have any batter who can play spin well. All of their batters starting from Head, McGurk, Carey, Inglis will bash pacers like anything. Let them take on spinners on this track and see them struggle trying to hoick across the line.

Even Iyer has bad record vs them unlike v NZ

If our batters perform poorer than what we can do against their part timers, we deserve to lose. This is the ideal pitch for us. Runs can be scored but you need to be able to bat properly against spinners. I would back Indian batters to do so compared to Aussies ones. This pitch remains same throughout the match instead of changing its nature the way Ahmedabad pitch did.

 

So yeah, I would expect India to beat Aussies easily provided they load the team with spinners. If we go with foolishly picking 3 pacers then we deserve to lose for poor team selection.

It's also because it's spring/summer whilst that was early winter/autumn for us! Dew is always more of an issue in the colder months. This is why it's such a *ing joke that nepo baby Shah allowed the dew to affect the game that much, also who the * in BCCI thought it was a good idea to make the pitch so dry/bad for batting first

That's why this is our tourney to lose. It's a spin friendly pitch which remains the same throughout. All we have to do is use common sense in selecting spinners and if they've a brain they need to move away from KL and Kuldeep.

 

The 2023 WC Final was botched due to playing it in a venue which was toss dependent. If we had played the final in Kolkatta or Delhi or Nagpur or any other venue where conditions remained the same throughout, we would've won. It was all thanks to Jay Shah that they had to play the match in that Panauti Modi stadium we lost the match.

Ideally we should play Pant ahead of KL and Sundar in place of Kuldeep. Both Pant and KL are mental midgets and should be kicked out. But in this venue we've enough firepower to overcome these two panautis.

 

Imagine if we had Jaiswal and Riyan Parag in the team and no oldies and mental midgets in the team, there wouldn't be anyone close to us. Now we have to overcome all these constraints and hope the team management selects the right team instead of having brain farts like picking seamers

I don't think they will change the team at all. 

 

Still I am just saying what I like. I think the Axar at 5 needs to stop. Rahul is useless and his keeping and bad energy may cost us. Bringing in Pant can get the left hander they want at no.5 and Axar can drop to No.7

 

I also think Shami should be dropped because we can't afford any fitness issue in a semi final with only 1 frontline pacer.

this time jadeja is at 8 and pandya-axar is at 6-7 and these two are way better odi batsmen than surya-jadeja. even yesterday they had good knocks.

Has become a really good economical bowler with control and a solid batsman who can hold an end up or slog. Also great fielder.

True. Axar really surprised me in WT20. He would be the 3rd person on the team sheet after Pandya and Bumrah. Always shows up and performs.
