Chasing ~350 is like playing a lost game to start with, do not think Pak was In the game there is method to chase such total which is get ahead of the game upfront, reduce the required runs to 200 as soon as possible. Agha's quick 30-40 gave some hope but how long can he do that kind of hitting.

 

Do not think sc batters can chase down ~100 in last 60 balls in sena, not many are good at hitting 6/4 vs both short ball and full balls, this ground had odd dimensions ~80 m st. boundaries.

 

SENA countries too have flatter decks, plus NZ is known for smaller grounds. It's tough to chase in Australia though.
India was 184/6 (36) overs chasing 314. Ashwin - Jadeja played knock of their life in NZ.

Pakistan doesn't have a unit to take on full strength top sides.  They are trying to convert test players into ODI players, ODI players into T20 players.  Lack of talent is shocking.

Thnk at napier highest total chased is 289. Auckland is small ground same ground where pak chase 204 in jsut 16 over in t20is.

Think Aus also chased ~350 in auckland. Think Aus chased down ~250 tatrget in T20is here vs nz .

 

Napier is odd it has v.long st. boundaries nearly 80m and small sq. boundaries

Constantly playing against b/c/d teams have resulted into this and then selectors and tm never tried to create bench strength, they kept on playing full strength team vs, such teams.

 

Having reached sf and f of t20i wc re-enforced that what they are doing is right.

Now pak selectors are picking player who have no domestic records and making them to play at odd positions. 

 

Picking a really fast bowler may work but batters with no pedigree does not work.

If Saim can be your one or two format player like Abhishek. Then he can bowl some overs. But if he is going to be your all format player like Jaiswal, maintaining that in modern times is hard. As there are 3 formats plus various leagues around the world. 

Just use him as 2-3 over bowler, that should suffice. Any more usage will have it's impact on the body. May not be seen immediately but in few yearly surely.

You're right I think. 

 

We need his reflexes more as a batter. 

 

I like his opening partner Abdullah Shafiq as well, he has all the shots but plays too far within himself.

Saim Ayub and Fakhars return will make this team stronger.

Rauf conceded 75 runs on a seaming pitch. Will not be an easy chase for Pakistan.

I can't believe they conceded 290 runs to this team. Barely anyone with any experience. Mitchell , Nichols who is crap are the only experienced batsman.

never thought nz will have such a deep bench strength, this is more of c/d team , still managed to get to 290 from 130/5.

Kept hearing that there are only about 200 registered cricketers in nz.
