Seen both of them and "14 year old" Suryavanshi (who's closer to 17-18) is much better than Raghuvanshi. Raghuvanshi may have all the shots and look good but he's like Rahane. He won't create much impact. Now Suryavanshi is similar to Abhishek and Arya - someone who can win you the match in PP itself. Didn't expect him to be such a clean hitter and was surprised. Now I know what RR saw in him to bid for him in the auction.

He isn't close to 17-18. He is 15 at best.

I agree. With everything digitised age fudging is very difficult these days plus BCCI is extra careful.

Needs to work on his fitness.   He is a left hander so he has obvious advantage for limited overs cricket.

He has lots to learn and spending time with IPL team around professional cricketers has helped. He has the potential and tools to succeed.

Looked older than 15 but don't really care as long as he performs at the senior level. If 26 year old Rashid Khan can be successful, Suryavanshi should be fine as well.

Who wins the faceoff amongst Arya, Suryavanshi and Mhatre?

Like all 3. At this moment tie. Mhatre seems to be more well cooked though from all 3.

For me it's Mhatre, Arya, and Suryavanshi in that order. Arya needs to be a bit more selective in his shot selection. Mhatre has all the shots in the book and looks to be the strongest technically but needs to learn which shots to hit based on the field. The shot he played today trying to hit a shortish delivery over long on when long on fielder was there is not on. The shot would've made sense had the fielder been inside the circle at mid on.

But exciting times and selectors will have a major head ache. I wish we finally go past the stars as there's enough players around and introduce role based selection. If someone is struggling, replace them with an in form batter and not get stuck to stars the way we've carried Kohli and Rohit in Tests forever.
