I don't know the rules in India regarding securities but in the US the bond investors are ahead in line of stock investors. When a company goes bankrupt, the stock investors(owners) are wiped out. The bond investors take over whatever is left and divide what can be salvaged between them.

 

Question is were Dhoni and Deepika on the bond side or the stock side....?

Its the same. Bonds are debts so have to be paid off first.

 

I think they invested as seed funding.

Ok - that is preferred shares (at best) but basically they are equity investors looking to own the company unlike lending money and collecting interest+principal.
