But what will you report. Jail him or deport him for listening to Paksitani song. Which IPC code is he violating. I understand you don't like it but has the govt banned listening to song. Or do you want to report it to the govt to launch an investigation into his connections to isi. Maybe first govt needs to bring out a list of songs books and music the Indian population can listen and maybe include dietary restrictions, cultural customs as well as dating restrictions..before we can make it a crime and deport people or put them in camps.

Very simpl.e . In India, a FIR can be initiated for any reason . Get a lawyer to file a FIR that fits some falana IPC code. For eg, noise pollution, which is considered a public nuisance, is addressed under Section 268 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Additionally, Section 290 of the IPC provides punishment for public nuisance in some cases. The Environmental Protection Act of 1986 also addresses noise pollution with penalties including imprisonment and fines.  If it is a religious song, hurting one's religious sentiments and causing disharmony among communities (295A, 153A), kuch bhi thop sakte hain!!

These are social media antics, to create an illusion for ourselves and feel as if we are doing something "patriotic" while also killing time.

Many of these guys have tons of issues in the real world - Money crunch, bills to pay, boss trouble, job deadlines, promotion concerns, office politics, spouse drifting apart, and so on, to actually worry about India. Even a slight pay hike can make them switch jobs.  Also the people they write against probably have a 1Mx leverage over them. :winky:

Be watchful and report any anti national especially any chillar from kaneda who take indian visa and sing poopistani tune . Be vigilant and don't hesitate to report such moles who sell their country for cheap money should be reported and should be chained like those illegal immigrants and deported to tihar on adjacent cell to Bishnoi and rest he will take care.

I had a chat with my uncle this evening. I told him about this incident to him. He brought up an important caveat in reporting this to authorities. He said what if the person in the authorities looking at the report is a 0.5. He said in that case, more trouble is awaiting the whistleblower. He also said unless there is a way to be anonymous in reporting, this won't be a feasible way to report such incidents.

There are several cases where such things happen. Reporting is a defensive measure. It has its purpose in that it can prevent sleeper cell activity. Its a long haul process and it requires reporting of all suspicious activities. It also carries the risk of the whistleblower getting exposed to harassment. A proactive way to mitigate this occurrence is to dissolve the idea of poopistan.

PS - I'm not a Jason Bourne kinda guy. But the above scenario makes you think of intrigues and how the intelligence society works behind the scenes.

Read the above post to ensure reporting doesn't land the reporter in trouble

I answered your question - " Which IPC code is he violating?". Obviously, you will have to be prepared to face the heat if you take it to the next level.

For IPC 268, IIRC the limit to decide if a sound in a public place is a ‘noise’ which can cause nuisance is 70dB.

Many mobile phones do not even have the ability to play sounds at that volume.

so that’s that………

268, when used from a noise context, is generally when loudspeakers are used. Or a music system /TV with attached speakers.

Yes , I was being facetious and technically throwing IPC codes as a prosecutor, you being a defense lawyer, can argue for the noise polluter.

You’d be really lucky to have the police register an FIR over the whole listening to stuff loudly in a public bus on a mobile phone.

This making it to the court is even improbable.

If the content is hateful, then it’s a totally different scenario.
