Same 11 for me as well .

Main thing for each batter is to bat long ,even if it is @3 rpo ,but bat long .

Run rate won't matter in the end because the bazballers cover up for the time .

Akashdeep should open the bowling with Bumrah.

I'll be even happier if the Pitch assists the pacers, in that case drop Kuldeep for a Pace AR

Another option is to have another pacer in Arshdeep (or Kamboj) play in place of Reddy. It will make our batting weak but give us more bowling firepower. I'm fine going in with 4 pacers. If we go with 3 pacers we gotta bowl more overs of spin so our pacers get enough rest and they're rotated with one end being taken care of by Jadeja & Sundar.

INdia's problem is no.3 batsman. It is a critical batting spot. Bridiging the gap between middle order and openers. If he can't bat well in these easy conditions how will he survive in challenging conditions. So far they are doing russian roulette with that spot instead of settling for one. IN helpful conditions he can totally expose the entire middle order

Did you guys hear interview from Gill. He said Kuldeep option was tempting. But they wanted a batting insurance so they went with Sundar.  Besides Sundar replaced Sai.

Want Sai back. Dropped too soon. Even Patidar got more chances. He should be given chances at no.3

 

Karun can go back to 6 or be replaced with Jurel. I don't care about his presence or absence. His career is limited and prefer younger batters like Jurel and Sai.

Apart from landing issues i am still hopeful of the ones that Sundar landed correctly. The dirft wsa something more than what Ashwin provided. 5.3 degree drift is massive.He wobbles the ball in the air. He just has to perfect his landing. He has the tools to do well in Tests. He has to abandon this T20 style bowling.  Duckett is the biggest spin killer in their side. Ashwin got wood over him. Sundar is our best bet against a guy like him.

Obviously a guy like Sundar is more than handy when Duckett get going. He was the main reason they won the first test.

They are treating him as a speicalist slip catcher. Credit where it is due. He has displayed great catching technique. Post retirement he can become a slip fielding coach. knock on wood.
