Jurel is not solely responsible for those byes. At some point of time coach, captain, bowlers and others should have flagged this issue and looked to address this collectively as a team.

 

Bowlers should be aware of not to bowl too wide down the leg. If slope was issue, they should have tried to adjust more.

 

Captain could have provided some cushion. Coach should have looked to address this issue. I guess coach is there for these types of cases only.

Stokes did not leave the off stump line. Very rarely he was bowling on the pads. Same with Archer. That kind of control was not with us.

Keeping in England is tough, Pant was doing decent enough job. Everyone is human and mistakes are made by best WKs.We will cut him slack but his wk was awful in this test.

 

To me he looks like he has decent antipication against spinners but he is still WIP against fast bowling.Pant is better keeper to fast bowlers.

 

To me he is back up keeper just like Saha was to Dhoni.He was never good enough to replace Dhoni as keeper as a package.

 

Pant is on another level as WK batsman than Dhoni ever was and why would we want to replace him.

 

 

Again, when Pant was out injured, these bozos Dravid and Rohit wasted 1.5 years on Bharat when they could have tried out Jurel. Imagine a Jurel now with 15 test caps !!!!! Those 2 donkeys did nothing for team development, no wonder we have had such a poor transition phase.

That was criminal.That bozo had no business of playing for India.He was neither good keeper nor was he good batsman.

Truth be told, our pace bowling in 3rd innings was poor, lines were all over the place. Most of their top order wickets were thrown away, and Sundar came out of syllabus. Had Sundar not bowled his spell (which frankly most of us were not expecting), Poms would have set a target of 300+.

Probably the worst player I have seen represent us since the dark 90s. And he was in the WTC F XI

We would have won that 4th BGT (2023) test on Ahmedabad patta with a better keeper. Even on that highway, Bharat was dropping sitters. His entire career was next level torture for us fans, probably that is why we all reacted so positively towards Jurel in the Eng home series.
