BCCI agrees to host Asia Cup at neutral venue, India-Pak likely in same group

Btw, India was supposed to host the women's ODI WC this year. But now having to compromise just to accomodate PCB.

 

Sri Lanka benefit out of it, as all Pak matches and some of the Lankan matches will be played in Premadasa, Colombo.

 

India too will be facing Pak in Colombio....imagine us having to play our home WC fixture outside India. Massive BCCI L, a phateechar beggar board like PCB is making them dance to their tunes. 

 

What next, they will come after our future ICC tournaments as well? Will it extend to IPL as well where we have to play some of our games in Birmingham and Bradford for the sake of 1-2 Mirpuri players? 

 

Humiliation after humiliation this year for Indian cricket. We couldn't force other teams to shift whole CT to UAE, and now us having to shift our home fixtures overseas for the bhikaris. In a sport where India generates 90% of the revenue, and other boards are surviving because of our generous handouts.

Advani is nearing a century, I know people mature late in politics but still can't look beyond late 80s. Shiv Sena is a goon party.

 

We need Congress but without the burdern of Gandhi parivar. There is enough talent there with hearts in the right place, but not allowed to flourish because of that one family.....likes of Tharoor, Sachin Pilot, Manish Tewari, Abhishek Singhvi, Revanth, DK Shivkumar, can do a good job if not under the shadow of the Gandhis. With Gandhis (and their slaves) out of the picture, more capable leaders ideologically opposed to BJP/Sangh will join Congress. Forget heavyweights like Himanta, Captain Amarinder Singh or Ghulam Nabi Azad, many youngsters like Milind Deora, Priyanka C, Sushmita Deb, Scindia, Poonawalla etc. left INC because of that family. If a Gandhi-less INC smartly forms alliances (ignoring TMC, DMK, SP type goons) and projects Naveen Patnaik or Mayawati as our PM for 2029, will be good for India.

Why do you think after so many decades of neutrality and balance between US and Russia we have now taken an open, Pro Russia stance (earlier russia was our ally but we always had balance between them and US).

 

So we are doing everything in our power to please middle East and Russia because that's what the power behind the throne wants.

 

The main problem will arise when, as you say, the government will lose popularity. They have been very shrewd in capturing all traditional media and social media and other things to influence people, but in a vast country like India, people can only be fooled for a little time. 

 

With the kind of power these oligarchs weild (entire city shuts down for a wedding), they are going to try every dirty trick to retain power including rigging elections and making the country fight and burn internally. That's when things will get real ugly.

29 ct and 31 wc will be in India. Pak have no more tournaments.

every second school kid I meet wants to go study and settle outside India. don't think mindset has changed much.

yeah need to get to 0.8 hdi. should be somewhere in the 2040s.

 

at that point india will be on the lower end of the first world and will be a properly functioning country.

 

all of the poverty etc negative stuff will be gone by then.

 

and india's huge population will mean domination in several fields even if per capita wise not on first world level.

 

current day china is like this. pci/hdi wise they are on the level of latin american countries but sheer size means they dominate a lot in lots of fields.

 

interesting thing with india is that because of english skills/open internet india will come up in same spaces as the anglosphere unlike china in their separate bubble.
