Is this flash in the pan performance for siraj or he is there to stay?

There are times when players becomes heros and this is such a series for siraj. Even the hardcore haters of siraj would still appreciate this performance. 

 

Will he becomes a consistent players for test matches. Really don't care about odis and t20s.. I am talking about tets matches ... Or it's just that conditions are suitable and he performed well.

 

What concerns me is ... His cross seam deliveries got him most of the wickets... Will this strategy work outside england? Even in England, will this strategy work during summer season?

 

Can a bowling expert break it down for me? 

 

What I understood is .. he developed this cross seam delivery which is going out as well ... Earlier it used to come inside. Now that potent because ther wis no way for batsmen to know ..if it is going outside or inside ... 

 

Sooner or later .. this will be figured out

He can be rapid off the pitch when he finds movement. For instance, if you look at Pope's dismissal closely in the first innings, he was significantly late in bringing down the bat. That is why he is harder to face when he generates movement off the surface. When he moves in the air as well, he is doubly difficult to face. As many pundits like Athers said, "It is almost underselling him when you say he is a workhorse, he has some skill". That is why he can be dangerous when he is on song. He is a skilled bowler.  SL found it twice in ODIs.  In the current era, you should not expect "individual performance" to carry your team through. That is a bad strategy. You always have to build a unit where one bowler steps up when others have an off day. That is a long-term, sustainable strategy. Always look at bowling as a unit rather than a collection of individuals.

He will never be a consistent low averaging bowlers but he will definitely have many moments when he is pumped up and in zone

Don't confuse formats and make him an all format bowler again. Let him stick to tests and maybe ODIs keeping venue of next WC in mind, will serve Indian cricket better that way. T20 team should be handled separately.
