These English players rarely play Limited overs cricket contrary to Aussie players.

Ashes is be all & end all for them.

Wood is probably lone guy who I don't see lasting longer.. but he would likely call it quits next summer against Pakistan.

 

Pretty sure Stokes will hundred percent would want to retire in a home Ashes.. or if not at a home series unless he ends up winning an Ashes series in Australia.  That would be like going out on an ultimate high for him.

Hardly, that was what third or fourth test? The series had already turned on it's head by then! If we dropped at least on of RGS/BRat by third test we could've still won it - but no the shameless *ers carried on despite the humiliation at home

England spinners suck,you can't turn up in Australia without a good spinner.i would give the edge to Australia but it won't be a 4 win series for them.

How many wickets is Lyon taking these days in Australia?  Even Aussies are saying their pitches have changed drastically and becoming more pace friendly.

 

English should be better off taking Bethell and Root rather waste a spot on a Leach or Bashir.

They beat us because of Kohli and Rohit. Our bowling was also poor.

We had 2 passengers in Kohli and Rohit and were playing with 9 players. Eng is not gonna do that. Aus will win but wouldn't be easy due to 11 players without any passengers.

he did well against the pommies last time down under plus most of englands team can't play spin.

England can spring a surprise because their batting is in form and bowling attack looks decent as well.

Don't go by the BGT 2025 ,India's batting was one of the worst I have seen in years ,also coming back from a home whitewash ,bowling was nothing sort of an embarrassment, still we could have come out with a 2-1 defeat if not for a stupid late collapse in Melbourne!

Australia's best chance is to provide spicy pitches where England's batsmen will struggle big time ,providing flat pitches will play into England's hand .

 

I think it's either gonna be 4-1 or 4-0 to Australia if the pitches are spicy and their bowlers step up big time ,else it might be a 2-2 type of series if they provide flat pitches
