Combination of various things:

 

babar-rizwan fanbase/pr vs ppl who think they should not be in t20i side. Their pr/fanbase is as good/bad as some top Ind players.

Some former pak players said that pak beating afgn will be an unpset and afgn wont let this pak team score 130 runs. And some said afgn is 2nd best team in asa

Its been Pcb general direction of fake it till you make it as well. They got vindicated by making into back to back sf and f of t20i wc. but since then they have fallen and what ever they can win is celebrated.
