Posted same in other thread too, but think this is better thread to address ::

T20 is about scoring runs quickly

Number of player with sr over 130 and min 500 runs:

Aus --13 (1  wc because side was packed with power hitters and trio of fast bowling + zampa , how did they lose 2010 ???)

afgn --6

Bd-0

Eng-14(2 wc lets say 2010 aus was better side, 2022 they were amongst 1-2 top batting side multiple allrounders)

Ind-18 (2 wc, let say 1st was luck or the 1st wc for t20 format no1 knew much but Ind packed their side with multiple allrounders, 2024 a bit of luck and 2 allrounders plus Bhumrah)

NZ-10

Pak-8 (1 wc because multiple allrounders apart from afridi every1 was slow scorer may be razaq but they had gull, azmal)

SA-10

SL-5 (1 wc had malinga in the side,2-3 allrounders and made to F of 1 more wc with malinga and murali )

Wi-13 (2 Wcs because of multiple allrounder, spinners like badree and  sunil and hitting ability of batters )

Zim-4

The common factors are either they had  hard hitting batting line ups , or/and  multiple allrounder and spinners with some mystery element.

Only SL surprises but they had malinga not only he was economical but a wkt taker , team were not going to score anything off him and he will take wkts plus during that time sl was v.consistent in icc events making to F/SF

NZ and SA made to 1 F each, think SA has issue against spin plus they choke in icc events, for NZ only top team they seems to have upper hand in Icc event is Ind , some how Ind will win all bi-laterals vs them and lose in icc event.

Yes this is bit of superficial analysis there may be some teams who lost by close margin in some of these matches but there come a something which was marginal (luck) may be some 1 had a batter who could hit 4/6 at end,or some team had better spinner.

Only visible issue with Ind t20i team right now is they donot have strong finisher, plus their wk does not open the innings.  And may be for leg-spinner try Vipraj (decent spinner) can hold the bat may be able to hit 1-2 boundaries in the end when needed.

If Ind has some matches against good side they should try out Shahsak, Dhir, Ashutosh

Yes I liked Dhir , terrific fielder brute hitter ,seam up bowler

T20s are mostly batting shootouts, where people like him have scope, don't know why was he dropped altogether and Rinku still being in scheme of things continuously

If Rinku fails here ,it will be hard for him to retain his place as he already had an average IPL

Dhir is with MI he bowls off-spin, think you are confusing him with Venky Iyer.

He is a good option too but seems to be not able to get run in recent times.

Think the role TM are looking for with rinku is when there is a mini collapse and then they can send him to steady a bit keep the score board ticking and protect other batters who can come later and hit.  And when there is no collapse (most of the times)they play him as finisher

In t20s its hard for batters who are not that tall and especially in mo or lower mo there are multiple ways by which team can stop 4/6 for them.

Only Pooran comes to mind when you think of a t20 batter who play in mo or lower mo who is not that tall but he is just an exception plus he could be one of the top t20 hitter in mo

Raman has a smaller sample size , where else Dhir has played up the order as well for MI scoring quick runs and since pandaya is not seen as finsher he has been batting down the order has only 1  fifty but look like a batter with brains.

Shashank has been finishing games in ipl for 2 seasons now, he looks more sorted.

Things to look for in a finisher - can they hit the ball from the crease, can they hit fuller ball, can they hit bouncer/slow bouncer and how is the off-side game just incase team starts bowling off side line length.

Final set to be hosted in Namo Stadium, Ahmedabad. CWG bhi Ahmedabad, Olympics bhi Ahmedabad. Is it the only suitable host city in India?

WTC final Lord's mein hi theek hai, warna wahi Ahmedabad.

PCB managed to force ICC to host the final in Colombo in case Pak makes it to the final.

BCCI keeps getting slapped, kicked and spat on by PCB bhikaris. Never seen anything less like this where such a small, insignificant entity owns a powerhouse.

Thank you GOI, BCCI for this daily humiliation.
