Now that this is out of the way, can enjoy India's campaign.

I think next 4 matches deserve separate threads. Against RSA, Aus, Eng, NZ, the big ones which will decide our SF spot.

I definitely think there should be separate threads for each match.

Reason i didn't have is most of the  match threads would be em pty. Since it is pakistan vs India and it happens on a sunday i see some posts. Otherwise women's crcket is mostly followed on cricinfo.

Next Sunday is Ind-Aus. Trust many will follow that one.

I will follow that. That is where we can truly see how much progress we have made. IIn bilateraly you get into a rhythm against a specific team with less pressure. But in world cup you play different teams at different venues with qualification for last 4 on the line. So there is this pressure factor. That is where theyw ill be truly tested.

Aussie men have 6 WCs, their women have 7. Heck, Aussie women have 6 T20 WCs as well.

Alyssa Healy and Starc have almost double the ICC trophies as India, 12 vs 7 (including 1 shared). Couple goals :hatsoff:

What are these Aussies !!!!!

Easier games out of the way. Middle order was tested and they delivered along with bowlers. Fielding, catching and particularly keeking have to raise the bar. These players have improved their athleticism under Amol Majumdar with Anand Date doing a good job as fitness trainer. Will attribute the lapses , particularly by Richa to nerves. Generally she has been rock solid behind the stumps in last 3-4 years. Is a key player along with Amanjot if we have to win.

Time also for big guns Smritu, Harman and Jemima to step up vs the top teams.:cheer::isalute:

Need 2/4 wins against SENA, we will beat Toygresses even though they have improved a lot.

Aussies should top the pool, so finishing 2nd or 3rd is desirable. Hoping Aussies do a Team India of 23 WC, win all games and then choke against us in the final.

RSA women have been in poor form, dropped a game in Pakistan last month and got blown apart by Eng here.

India should make the semis, we won't lose to all 3 of Eng, NZ, RSA for sure.

In 2017 WC we did the almost impossible job of eliminating Aus in SF and then choked against Eng in the final, that should have been our cup.

Yeah. Best innings of Harman. 171. Disaster in the final. Harman scored a 50 again. Lots of andas incl. Smriti. Mandana hasn't done anything in WC's..has she ? Couldn't even chase 220 odd.

Match referee must be a woman... Dei hires proving their effectiveness.

Pak captain played it cool... Neither Harman pointed it out

Referee is at  fault.  It's her job at the end.

Any thread even about women cricket and incels show up frothing about women and of course parroting terms like DEI popularized by Trump.

As if we didn't have a million wrong decisions in men's Asia cup and so much drama.

But but but women,  but but but DEI. Hilarious.

It is an achievement they even allowed their girls to play cricket. I heard one talented girl was forced to retire at the age of 18.

Yeah she was bit like richa

Watched SA batting briefly. SA batting was high quality. Can't believe they were rolled over in the first match. .close to men's cricket in terms of power fluency.

They are not as good as India, England and Nzl imo. Forget Australia.
